Global Courses
The faculty at FDU strive to offer students an expansive view of the world through curricula infused with global perspectives. In addition to our core curriculum, discipline specific courses across the comprehensive range of majors offered by FDU integrate opportunities to consider global issues directly related to their content. Courses which are designed and delivered by FDU faculty and staff, such as The Global Challenge, transform the classroom into a virtual global issues laboratory. Courses in international relations and global leadership, taught by Ambassador Ahmad Kamal, former ambassador from Pakistan to the United Nations and President of the Ambassador’s Club at the United Nations, draw from years of first-hand experience in international diplomacy. Here’s a sampling of some of our current and upcoming courses:
In addition to those courses offered at our two New Jersey campuses, several courses are offered by FDU faculty at locations around the globe, providing students with experiential learning opportunities in international settings. Through a combination of travel and coursework, students have the chance to live what they learn. See some of our class offerings at international locations. Global Information ResourcesIn addition to globally minded courses and curricula, FDU has a library system which offers innumerable opportunities to access a world of knowledge. The FDU community currently has online access to over 10,600 scholarly and research journals, as well as dozens of reference materials available by cross-reference. These materials are selected with our internationalized curriculum in mind and are as accessible from locations in the UK, India or Israel, as they are from our Metroplolitan and College at Florham campuses in New Jersey. Visit the Library Web Portal to access these global information resources. |
